Son of an artist who was son of an artist who was son of an artist, well you get the picture. Did art at uni' got my hons, and like a lot of graduates decided I wanted nothing to do with the subject I had just been studying for five years, so I became a tree surgeon. Then I went traveling around the world, somewhere along the way I got that spark back and found I wanted, needed, to be a full time artist. In 2006 I moved to Devon to be nearer the sea and its endless inspiration, where I am currently painting full time. My influences are varied from hot rod and lowbrow culture to tattooing, tv, film, music, comic books and fine art, classical and contemporary and of course tiki and surf culture in its many forms. My work generally comes from a sketch or a doodle, vary rarely a photograph I like the feeling of creating an image that has been pulled from a memory or experience I think traveling is a great catalyst for this sort of image making. Well I hope you enjoy looking at my work but more importantly buy some!
